Liberating Minds, in partnership with Susan Lister, is seeking two compassionate and engaging Wellbeing Facilitators to deliver Workforce Australia-funded personal development and wellbeing programs across Adelaide.
This role is perfect for former teachers who have transitioned into social work, counselling, rehabilitation counselling or allied health and are looking for meaningful, flexible facilitation work where they can continue making a difference in people’s lives.
This is a rewarding opportunity to combine your professional expertise, facilitation skills and life experience to support participants as they develop confidence, resilience and practical strategies for moving forward in life and employment.
About the Role
You will facilitate interactive and supportive 3-day workshops designed to help participants improve well-being, build self-belief and develop practical life skills.
Workshops are delivered:
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
10:00 am – 2:00 pm
Across Adelaide CBD and southern Adelaide locations
Primarily on a fortnightly basis, with opportunities for additional workshop delivery as programs expand
All facilitator guides, workbooks, worksheets and resources are provided.
Workshop topics include:
Developing a wellness plan
Building confidence and self-belief
Anxiety management
Mindfulness and meditation
The importance of connection
Understanding values and purpose
Managing the inner critic
Goal setting and motivation
Vision boards and future planning
The workshops are discussion-based and highly interactive, with facilitators supporting participants through conversation, reflection and practical activities.
Essential Qualifications
Applicants must hold a degree or graduate diploma relevant to the services being delivered, including:
Social Work
Rehabilitation Counselling
Behavioural Sciences
Counselling
Psychology
Community Services
Allied Health
Other relevant allied health qualifications
Highly Desirable
We would particularly love to hear from applicants who have:
Experience as a teacher, trainer or educator
Retrained into social work, counselling, rehabilitation counselling or allied health
Experience facilitating workshops, training sessions or group programs
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A passion for empowering others to achieve positive change
Training and Support
You will receive comprehensive support to ensure your success, including:
On-site training and induction
The opportunity to shadow workshops before facilitating independently
Detailed facilitator resources and workshop materials
Ongoing coaching and mentoring from Susan Lister
Regular support and professional development meetings
You will be fully supported throughout your facilitation journey.

Family-friendly hours – Work just 10:00am–2:00pm each day, making it ideal for working around school hours and family commitments.
Only 12 delivery hours across 3 days – Enjoy meaningful, rewarding work without committing to full-time hours.
Guaranteed minimum income – Receive $600 for each 3-day workshop delivered.
Excellent earning potential – Earn approximately $50–$100 per hour, depending on participant attendance.
Opportunity to earn up to $1,200 per 3-day workshop as participant numbers increase.
Comprehensive training and support – All workshop resources, facilitator guides, onboarding and ongoing mentoring are provided.
Ongoing coaching and professional development from Susan Lister and the Liberating Minds team.
